Who Is a Christian?

Who is a Christian

A Christian means the follower of Christ. It also interprets as One who identifies with Christ. Not only that, a Christian is someone who believes the Gospel (the never outdated gist) that Jesus lived, died, was buried and resurrected.

Brothers and sisters, I’m making known to you the Good News which I already told you, which you received, and on which your faith is based. In addition, you are saved by this Good News if you hold on to the doctrine I taught you, unless you believed it without thinking it over. I passed on to you the most important points of doctrine that I had received: Christ died to take away our sins as the Scriptures predicted. He was placed in a tomb. He was brought back to life on the third day as the Scriptures predicted.
:1 Corinthians 15:1‭-‬4 GOD’S WORD Translation_

That is WHO a Christian is.

Some people view being a Christian as a way of life saddled with Do’s and Don’ts till oxygen exhausts. Well, here’s a spoiler….

The constant fellowship with the Father above is enough to illuminate your heart with joyBeing a Christian isn't as hard as you think that you are a child of God.

Oh! Maybe the word ‘Christian‘ sounds like a heap of assignment. ‘Child of God‘ will do then or…born again Christian child of the Most High God.

1Peter 2:2
KJV- Like newborn babies you should crave (thirst for, earnestly desire) the pure (unadulterated) spiritual milk, that by it you may be nurtured and grow unto [completed] salvation
AMP – Like newborn babies you should crave (thirst for, earnestly desire) the pure (unadulterated) spiritual milk, that by it you may be nurtured and grow unto [completed] salvation

Having a steady parole with the Trinity {God the Father, Son, Holy Spirit} makes it so easy to boldly claim I AM A CHILD OF GOD and not just be eager to tick Christianity under Religion section on a document.
Yes, there’s a But

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

The only begotten of the Father- Jesus Christ had a feel of what it was like to be in this ‘container‘ called FLESH.

Mark 7: 38 Keep awake and watch and pray [constantly], that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Seeing God in human form, the devil tried to make a pass {Matthew 4:1-11}, but 🎤Jesus is a winner man, a winner man all the time

The major struggle a Christian faces is the Flesh. The wills of the flesh tends to shoot its shot when least expected. This mortal body will last but for a temporal timing.

Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its desires, and do not present your members to sin as instruments to be used for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead and your members to God as instruments to be used for righteousness. For sin will have no mastery over you, because you are not under law but under grace.

Romans 6:12‭-‬14 NET

However tight it may seem for you to be unyielding to the Flesh, remember Jesus as the Author and Finisher or Faith!
Let not your heart be troubled, for the Flesh availeth, but you assuredly will prevail!

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Being a Christian is hard work! Don’t you think?

Doing away with things now called worldly because you are born anew,
Change in conduct and speech according to it is written
Most importantly, Love is now your new nature because it is this redeeming, mind blowing, everlasting love that brought about salvation.
But, really, is it HARD WORK?
