Rev. Fr Cyprian Kooro, Catholic Priest Slumped and Died During Mass Service

Rev. Fr Cyprian Kooro, of Catholic dioceses, port Harcourt, slumped and died after conducting Sunday mass.

The Catholic Priest slumped around 10 am and was immediately rushed to the University of Port Harcourt teaching hospital (UPTH) by the church officials at 10:30 am, where he died shortly after around 12 pm.

A parishioner who witness the incident said the priest slumped after delivering his homily.

“Our priest slumped and died today during first mass in our parish this morning. He slumped after delivering his homily,” he said.

“He was rushed to the UPTH around 10.30 am, but was declared dead by a doctor around 12 o’clock, the situation is sad.”
