With over 2.7 billion people practising Christianity, it is evidently the largest religion across the world.What is christianity to you
Christianity is more than ticking a box where ‘Religion’ is stated on a piece of paper. Christianity is based on the belief in Jesus Christ and His earthly teachings. Well, it can be said that Christianity first started with the 12 disciples who were close followers of Jesus’ ministry. It is called a monotheistic religion, that is, it emphasizes belief in ONE God as supreme.

Catholic, Protestants and Orthodox churches are branches of Christianity. However individual or interdenominational a church is, whichever day is chosen as Day of worship, it is traceable to any of these branches.
Two key events largely celebrated by Christians are Easter which marks the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ and Christmas, in celebration of the Birth.
The Bible has it written in Acts 11:26 as follow;
It was in Antioch that the disciples were for the first time called Christians. (The Message version)

What does being a Christian mean to you? A belief? A practice? A hereditary religion?
